Instructions for safe participation in courses
Due to the intensifying repression by the Belarusian regime against independent civic initiatives and democratic individuals, the Free Belarus University (FBU) finds it necessary to share important information with you. This applies primarily to participants from Belarus and those visiting the country.
We care about your safety and are doing everything possible to protect you from potential persecution for participating in our educational programs.
Please follow the following recommendations for safe course participation:
1. ALWAYS use reliable VPN services: This will help you hide your real IP address and bypass possible restrictions when accessing our resources from Belarus.
2. Create anonymous email accounts: Register using email addresses that do not contain your personal data. Avoid opening suspicious messages or links from unknown senders. Do not save auto-login credentials on your devices; regularly clear cookies and cache. Log in ONLY using private/incognito mode in your browser.
3. Use pseudonyms: When participating in courses or forums, use nicknames or fictitious names to maintain anonymity.
4. Delete emails received from us after reading them, including from the trash folder.
5. Keep your software up to date: Regularly update your devices and software to ensure the highest level of security.
We ask everyone to remain vigilant and strictly follow information security protocols. Please report any suspicious incidents to our team.
Together, we will overcome all challenges and continue working toward a free and democratic Belarus.
